Guttering are the plastic pipes on the outside of your house, normally seen across the top with one pipe down the side. The reason for this is that when it rains the rain will run down the roof, into the guttering on the outside then down the pipe where it will normally go into drains.

The benefits of guttering are to make sure all the rain that falls onto your roof be collected and disposed of correctly, instead of it running off the end of your house and possibly causing damage.
